Rules and Regulations 1. With each $10.00 spent at participating businesses, between October 13 and December 14, 2018, shoppers receive 1 stamp in the passport. For example, a $22.49 purchase would receive 2 stamps. 2. Once the passport booklet is filled with stamps and the personal information has been completed, it may be dropped off participating stores of the Chamber office by 5:00pm Friday, December 14, 2018. 3. A maximum of 4 passports for any one purchase or invoice. Partially completed passports may be combined to make 1 complete passport. (Please staple/join together.) 4. Grand Prize $1,000 in McMurray Money, 2nd Prize $500 in McMurray Money and 3rd Prize $250 in McMurray Money. Winners will be drawn from all collected, completed passports received by 5:00pm December 14, 2018. 5. McMurray Money may only be redeemed at participating businesses (listed at fortmcmurraychamber.ca). McMurray Money has no cash value and change will not be given. 6. There is no limit to the number of passports entered however there will be only one (1) prize awarded per person. 7. Stamps may be requested through writing an email to afoster@fortmcmurraychamber.ca and will be awarded after the recipient answers a skill-testing question. 8.  St. Aidans Society is very excited to be partnering with CMHA - Wood Buffalo Region and United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo to introduce a new Volunteer program to assist Seniors in #ymm and are looking for more volunteers to do things like driving and accompanying Seniors to appointments and events in the community, helping with groceries, visiting with them, giving them a phone call.  Driving is not required for all positions, any help a volunteer is willing to provide is welcomed. We want to reduce the feeling of isolation and connect Seniors to the community and resources. The Wood Buffalo Regional Library (WBRL) is happy to announce that Words In Motion is back for another year! The annual literacy program promotes the writing, reading, sharing and appreciation of poetry. This program is open to everyone in the Wood Buffalo Region. The deadline to submit poems is February 15, 2019. Poems of any language accepted with an english translation alongside. An external panel of community judges will select poems to be displayed in the WBRL. Authors of said poems will be invited to a celebration event at the Library on May 15, 2019. Poem submissions must be in Microsoft Word and sent vis email to:  community.services@wbrl.ca Please include title of the poem, the writers full name, address and email address. Stuff-A-Bus is back in 2018 with a toy drive to benefit Santas Anonymous! Stuff-A-Bus returns for the third year, and this time they're supporting Santas Anonymous, a Father Mercredi High School student-led initiative designed to bring Christmas to families in the community. Anyone can participate: businesses, industry, schools and residents.  Here’s how: 1) Register by sending an email to transit@rmwb.ca; or contact Pulse at 780-743-7000 or pulse@rmwb.ca (Deadline for registration is Dec. 12 at noon.) 2) Set up a Christmas bin/hamper in your location and collect unwrapped toy donations from staff, students, volunteers or residents. 3) Print free posters from this web page to promote your donation bin:  https://www.rmwb.ca/Municipal-Government/municipal_departments/Public-Operations/Wood-Buffalo-Transit/Stuff-A-Bus.htm 4) On December 14, Municipal Transit Services will come to your location to collect your donations and Stuff-A-Bus with Christmas joy. This year, the citizens of Gothica City are more than ready to outshine each other in their clever Roman toga designs. The Pompey Palace is sure to be packed wall-to-wall with excited faces.  A night of suspense and interaction - everyone gets assigned a role to play and you must find the culprit!  A fun-filled night with games and entertainment to keep you hopping all night long! This is a great event for team building, and to promote group cohesion, we will be offering tables of 8 for $600! Otherwise, individual tickets are $95.00 each.
