Fort McMurray is seeing another drop in active COVID-19 cases.
The province announced on Saturday 573 new cases across Alberta.
This raises the provincial total to 120,330 with 9,727 currently active. There are also 676 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 114 of which are in ICUs.
Locally, Fort McMurray added 5 new cases and 11 additional recoveries which lowers the active total to 138.
The rural areas saw no changes which keeps the total of active cases at three, and there continues to be no active cases in Wood Buffalo National Park.
In total, 1,648 individuals across the RMWB – 1,515 in Fort McMurray, 124 in the rural areas, and nine in Wood Buffalo National Park – have recovered.
They are among the 109,078 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 90 per cent of reported cases.
There were also 13 new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past 24 hours – raising the total to 1,525.
To date, three individuals in Fort McMurray have died as a result of the virus.
