Fort McMurray is seeing its active total of COVID-19 cases dip slightly.
The province announced on Sunday 811 new cases across Alberta.
This raises the provincial total to 111,452 with 14,116 currently active. There are also 794 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 128 of which are in ICUs.
Locally, Fort McMurray added 19 new cases and 25 additional recoveries which lowers the active total to 277.
There was one recovery and no new cases in the rural areas, lowering the total of active cases to six, while there were no changes in Wood Buffalo National Park keeping the total to four.
In total, 1,374 individuals across the RMWB – 1,250 in Fort McMurray, 119 in the rural areas, and five in Wood Buffalo National Park – have recovered.
They are among the 96,052 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents 86 per cent of reported cases.
There were also 12 new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past 24 hours – raising the total to 1,284.
To date, three individuals in Fort McMurray have died as a result of the virus.
