Five New Cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray, One New Recovery

There are five new cases of COVID-19 in the RMWB.

The province announced on Wednesday 44 new cases across the province – raising the total to 7,825.

Fort McMurray now has 16 active cases, while 11 are active in the rural areas.

The majority of these cases are linked to a social gathering.

Across the RMWB, 26 individuals – 23 in Fort McMurray and three in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 7,134 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 91 per cent of the reported cases.

There are also no new deaths from COVID-19 in the province over the past 24-hours – keeping the death toll at 153.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
