You can turn your parking fine into helping a local family in need this holiday season.
For a third straight year, the RMWB is running its Toys for Tickets program.
Motorists who receive a parking ticket in the first 15 days of December can pay the fine with a new toy.
All items will then be donated to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army’s Adopt-a-Family program, which distributes holiday hampers to local families in need.
Last year, 28 residents used the program – equating to $3,300 worth of toys.
To take part, new toys, along with the receipt, can be dropped off at the South Operations Centre, RCMP Timberlea Detachment, and Jubilee Centre until December 20.
