Keyano College’s annual gala was a huge success for the post-secondary school.
Over 900 guests took part in the event on Saturday where they enjoyed food, live entertainment while also raising funds for their students.
A total of $750,000 was raised – $600,000 from Canadian Natural Resources Limited who will be given the naming rights to Keyano’s gymnasium and field house for the next 10-years.
“The tremendous support we receive every year is an important reminder of how generous our community is,” said Dr Trent Keough, President and CEO, in a release.
The college says the remaining $150,000 will be directly used for supporting students, programming, athletics, theatre, and infrastructure improvements.
Former participants of the Amazing Race Canada Kwame Osei and Dylan Elias were this year’s Masters of Ceremonies.
Canadian band The Trews finished off the event with a performance featuring some of their classics and songs from their new album.
