Fort McMurray Man Arrested, Charged With First-Degree Murder In June Death

A 36-year-old Fort McMurray man is facing a first-degree murder charge for his alleged involvement in the death of a man found on Abasand Access Road earlier this year.

Wood Buffalo RCMP were called to the Abasand, Grayling Terrace area on the morning of June 13 after the body of 36-year-old John Bradley Healey was found on the construction access route.

RCMP and the Major’s Crime Unit have been investigating the death – which led to the arrest of Trevor Kirke Bown on Friday.

Bown is scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on Monday to answer to the charge.
