Some transit users will have to start taking new buses as some routes are being shut down.

The municipality is getting rid of the mains to Timberlea, Thickwood, and the South Operations Centre – more commonly known as routes 1,2, and 66.

To make up for this and with the new school year starting up soon, they are adding additional times to Route 15 and 16 – the Timberlea and Thickwood buses.

They will be coming around every 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes during their peak times from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

People who also use route 15 to go downtown will now be picked up at the Signal Road terminal instead of across from the CBI Health Centre.

Meanwhile, the municipality is updating some routes specifically for high school students.
Students can see the new schedules at rmwb.ca/transit.
