Two people are being charged after being pulled over during a checkstop in Conklin.
Wood Buffalo RCMP pulled over multiple vehicles in the rural hamlet on Tuesday night.
This led to one driver being charged for transporting liquor in easy access for the occupants and another for operating a motor vehicle without holding a driver’s license.
Four people were also given 72-hour driving suspensions for driving while impaired. These drivers could face multiple provincial sanctions including a 90-day license suspension followed by one year in the interlock program.
The four vehicles were towed and will be impounded for three days.
Several speeding tickets were also handed out.
