One man is in hospital after being rescued from the river near Syne Point Park.
Around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Wood Buffalo RCMP received a call from a resident about an unknown man, who was floating down the Clearwater on his back, needing help.
Officers and police dog services made various types of patrols on foot, golf carts, and boat to get the man.
Soon after he was spotted on the Athabasca River shore where he was apprehended by RCMP and then transported to the hospital.
His condition and how he ended up in the water is unknown.
The Mounties say they won’t be releasing any more information.
