A special walk in downtown Fort McMurray is taking place later this month to fight sexual abuse.
Former NHL player Theo Fleury will be making his way to different communities across Alberta for the fifth annual ‘Victor Walk’ movement.
His first stop will be in Fort McMurray on July 17, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m, where he’ll start at MacDonald Island Park and end at Jubilee Plaza.
Residents are being invited to join in on the walk and stand up to help end sexual violence.
Shortly after the walk, Fleury will also hold a rally.
He will also be making stops in Lac La Biche, Cold Lake, Drumheller, Medicine Hat, and Calgary.
