Keyano College has found their new President and CEO.
Dr Trent Keough will replace the outgoing Dr Tracy Edwards who handed in her resignation back in December due to a family medical matter.
Keough recently held the same position at Portage College.
In all, he brings over 25 years of experience working in the postsecondary education system to the college.
“Trent has a proven track record in post-secondary and is known for the ability to build relationships with stakeholders while taking on the difficult decisions and challenges that colleges face,” said Brent Davis, Keyano’s Interim Board Chair, in a release.
His work has also given him the chance to travel across the Country and overseas, working in Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Qatar.
Keough also brings with him a good relationship with First Nation and Métis peoples after serving as the Chair of Board Directors for the Alberta Rural Development Network.
“We believe that he will provide the direction and leadership to make the College even more successful,” added Davis.
Keough’s first day will be June 25.
