Two 19-year-old men from Edmonton are facing a number of drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Timberlea over the weekend.
Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Wood Buffalo RCMP pulled over a vehicle traveling west on Confederation Way after the driver failed to stay in their lane.
This is when officers found roughly 29 grams of suspected cocaine, over $1000 cash, and several cell phones.
Syed Quazem Shah and Richard Amoko Angelo, who initially provided false identification to police, were arrested and charged.
Shah is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. Angelo has been charged with the same as Shah along with obstruction and identity fraud.
The pair are scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on June 26.
