Heavy Snowfall Creating Poor Driving Conditions

Heavy snowfall is affecting area roads.

Wood Buffalo RCMP say they’ve responded to a number of collisions since 4 a.m. Monday.

Weather and road conditions are considered factors in the various crashes. No injuries have been reported.

Motorists are being asked to slow down and adjust your driving to conditions.

RCMP are also advising semi-trucks traveling up Beacon Hill to chain up as roads are icy.

Listeners tell us Highway 63 north heading out to site is slow going and icy.

There are also a number of school buses running behind schedule. To see if your child’s bus is delayed you can visit myschoolbusmonitor.ca.

According to Environment Canada, the snow should end Monday afternoon.
