A local pilot was able to walk away from a plane crash near the Fort McMurray International Airport.
Wood Buffalo RCMP were called to the airport at 10 p.m. on Sunday.
The pilot, who was flying a Cessna 210A alone, started experiencing some mechanical issues shortly after takeoff.
The plane would eventually crash land near the airport as the pilot was unable to make it back to the runway.
Police say the pilot was able to walk away from the crash without any injuries.
