Wood Buffalo RCMP believe they may have determined the cause of death of three individuals who were found unresponsive in a vehicle in Conklin.
On January 9, police were called to a stopped car on the Laguna Access Road, and found all three passengers, a 29-year-old male, and 22 and 21-year-old women all deceased.
Mounties say after a mechanical inspection, they believe a faulty exhaust system may have caused exhaust to enter into the car.
Whether it was an existing or recent problem, remains to be seen.
Police won’t be releasing the identity of the victims.
No further updates will be given.
