Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking for your help after two separate hit and runs over the holidays.
The first incident happened late Boxing Day on Prospect Drive near Shalestone Way.
Police say a white pick up truck was parked on Prospect and was rear-ended by an unknown vehicle. The Mounties don’t have a specific time for when it happened – noting it most likely occurred during 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The truck has significant damage to the driver’s side with the suspect’s vehicle likely having white traces of white paint and damage to the front passenger side.
The second incident happened later on December 27, between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. RCMP say a black pick up truck was also struck along Bird Cresent by another unknown vehicle. According to police, the truck’s owners heard a ‘bang’ around 8:30 p.m. but the suspect was gone before they went outside.
Nearby residents and businesses who have exterior surveillance cameras are being asked to contact RCMP. Anyone else with information is also being encouraged to reach out to police or CrimeStoppers.
