No one injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 63 south of Fort McMurray.

Around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Boyle RCMP with assistance from Highway 63 Rescue responded to reports of a collision 80 kilometers north of Wandering River.

Police say the SUV was traveling southbound when it lost control, struck the shoulder, flipped twice, before landing upright.

An investigation found the slick road conditions were the primary cause of the accident.

The Mounties are encouraging motorists to prepare for various road conditions during winter and allow for extra travel time.

“Take precautions while driving on Alberta roadways this upcoming Christmas Season”, says Cst. Andrew Deme of the Boyle RCMP.

“Leaving an extra few minutes early will allow motorists to prepare for unexpected weather conditions, and to arrive safely to enjoy the Christmas Holidays with friends, family, and loved ones.”
