Alcohol and Weather Considered Factors In Double Fatal Collision On Highway 63

Alcohol and weather are being considered factors in a two-vehicle collision that killed two men on Highway 63 north of Fort McMurray.

The incident happened Sunday around 5:05 p.m. at the top of Supertest Hill.

Wood Buffalo RCMP says a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country minivan travelling southbound from the Noralta Lodge exit rear-ended a Diversified bus.

The 36-year-old driver and his passenger have died.

None of the 12 people onboard the Diversified bus reported injuries to police.

Traffic was down to one lane for several hours while police investigated.

The names of the deceased men will not be released.
