A special light show is looking to put a smile on peoples faces throughout the holidays.
“Lights at Royal Garden” is back for another year but with an exciting new twist.
The show’s creator Jon Tupper tells Mix News people can expect to see more than just lights turning on and off.
“We have over 3,600 pixels that are each individually controlled and can shine any of 28,800 different colours – the result is we can do digital animation.”
Tupper wouldn’t go into too many details about the show but did mention it would feature some Star Wars characters and Bruno Mars.
He adds they will also be accepting donations which will be sent to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
“I think anything we can do to support them is a great way to support everyone in this community especially what we’ve been through and of course Christmas season for some people is a little bit of a more difficult time when it comes to mental health and we’re hoping we can not only bring holiday spirit their way but also bring them some support to last throughout the year.”
Tupper adds they’re hoping to raise $3,000 which would be matched bringing the total to $6,000.
Residents can enjoy the light show every evening until January 7 starting at 6:00 p.m. and going every 45 minutes until 9:45 p.m. During the weekend there will also be an added show going until 10:30 p.m.
For anyone interested, they can head down to 128 Royal Garden in Thickwood.
