RCMP Charge Two After Drugs Found During Traffic Stop

Two people are being charged after police found drugs in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

Wood Buffalo RCMP pulled over the vehicle and found drug paraphernalia in plain sight.

This led to them seizing 14 grams of cocaine, 17 grams of crack cocaine, drug-related items, and cash.

As a result, 19-year-old Autumn Taylor Marcel from Janvier and 50-year-old Douglas Allan Thomson from St. Albert have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Marcel will make her first court appearance in Fort McMurray on December 17.

Thomson will be in a Fort McMurray courtroom on December 5.

Police aren’t releasing anymore information as the investigation is now before the courts.
