Three and a half months after a man was found dead in Red Deer, RCMP are still working to identify him.
Police say they’ve tried fingerprints, medical and other records, missing person reports and have contacted police detachments across the country, but are still unsure of who he is.
Wood Buffalo RCMP Corporal Teri-Ann Deobald tells Mix News they are reaching out to everyone as his roots are unknown. She says he could even be international.
“Thus the reason we are seeking out the assistance of anyone and everyone. The more people we share this with, the more connections we will have to help find his family,” Deobald said in an email.
Police say his death is not considered suspicious.
The man is described as Caucasian, between 30-40-years-old, 5’6”, 143 lbs, with brown hair. He also has a scar on his right cheek and chipped teeth.
He was found wearing three layers of t-shirts – a white one, a black one over it, and a red one over top, blue jeans, black socks, shoes and leather belt, and wearing black sunglasses.
