Police Searching for Suspected Fort McMurray Drug Dealer

A warrant is being issued for a suspected drug dealer in Fort McMurray.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding 34-year Mohamed Mehdi Assiani after a drug raid in Gregoire.

On October 5, ALERT (Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams) with help from Wood Buffalo RCMP searched an apartment in the area where they seized more than 250 grams of cocaine, $7,500 in cash, and various drug trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result, 27-year-old Jordan Molina-Samuels was arrested and has since been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Investigators are now focused on finding Assiani Рwho they allege played a role in the drug trafficking operation.

Assiani is also known under the alias “Alexandre Kouvrigin” with police believing he’s in the Edmonton Area.

ALERT notes he’s not considered a risk to the public but should not be approached.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort McMurray gang tipline at 780-788-GANG (4264) or Crime Stoppers.
