The Keyano Foundation Golf Classic made a triumphant return over the weekend – raking in more than $120,000.

The charity tournament first launched in 1990 but wasn’t held in 2015 and was interrupted in 2016 by the wildfire.

Despite the hiatus, this year’s event, which took place on Saturday, had more than 35 sponsors, 150 golfers and dozens of volunteers raising proceeds in support of Keyano students.

The funds raised will go towards educational programs, scholarships, and Keyano’s campus development.

‚ÄúThis tournament is an important way of raising money, but equally important is how it brings the College and our friends and community partners together,” said Jason Demers, Vice President of External Relations and Advancement.

It was also announced that the Barenaked Ladies will perform at this years Keyano College Foundation Gala on November 4.

The first ever Keyano Foundation Golf Classic was held back in 1990 and had approximately 40 golfers take part raising roughly $2500.
