UPDATE: Fraud Suspect turns himself in after tips from the public

Wood Buffalo RCMP wants to thank the public for their help in identifying a suspect in a fraud investigation.

After several tips were called in, the man turned himself into police.

There are no charges being laid at this time.

RCMP were asking for anyone’s help to identify a male using fraudulent information to put gas in his vehicle.

The suspect was seen at the Thickwood Petro-Can on the evenings of January 1st, 16th, and 18th

On January 1st, the man is seen to be wearing an “air” or “boot” cast on his right leg.

In the photos from the 16th and 18th, he is no longer wearing the cast.

The suspect was observed driving two vehicles, one is a dark blue Mazda sports car, the other is a dark colored Dodge truck.
