Students in the RMWB will have a chance to hear ideas on building a good school community.
Ever Active Schools is holding a Healthy Active School Symposium in Fort McMurray, with the goal of building student leaders and action plans that help the well-being of all schools in the region.
Director of Ever Active Brian Torrance tells Mix News many initiatives that schools start are thought up by adults and run by adults.
“The focus of this symposium is for students to come together in a creative and safe environment and come up with ideas of their own.”
Torrance says that some of the initiatives to come out of these conferences are things like greenhouses for schools and the buddy bench system.
The event takes place at Shell Place on February 15th.
