With the tough spring that affected so many people in the RMWB, and, Christmas right around the corner, WestJet put on a special concert at MacDonald Island Park to help those affected by the wildfires.
The airline called it the “Snowflake Soiree” and invited families that lost their home last spring to attend.
Guests were treated to free food and drink and a special concert from Country music artists Johnny Reed.
At the end of the night, WestJet surprised their guests with one more gift as they parachuted ornaments with a picture of the family and free airline vouchers to fly anywhere the airline flies.
WestJet says it’s their way of giving back to a community that means so much to them.
