Humans are strange. While the reason ‘why’ may elude us, we can still point out all the weird things we do. It’s another edition of WHY DO WE DO THIS?!
We say “not bad” or “that’ll do” and we’re giving a shining compliment of grand proportions. None before have ever been so kind. But we hear “not bad” or “that’ll do” and we react as if we’ve utterly failed as a human.
When grocery shopping, if we notice we’re continually sharing the same aisles with the same person, we’ll skip everything that we need in the next aisle just to break the cycle of awkwardness.
We hold the door open for someone without being asked and feel like a saint. They forget to say thank you and you’ve suddenly got a new enemy for life.
2-4. That is the range of times we’ll say “pardon?” while trying to understand what someone is saying before we just laugh and blindly agree.
We agree mutually NOT to buy each other presents for Christmas.. and then go ahead and buy them one anyway.
Share your own “Why Do We Do This?” behaviours and we’ll read yours live on the air!
