RMWB residents named to Oil Sands Advisory Group

A few RMWB residents are being named to a provincial advisory group.

RMWB Deputy CAO Kevin Scoble, VP Metis Local 1935 Bill Loutit, and Director Government and Industry Relations for Mikisew Cree First Nation Melody LePine are three of the 18 members of the province’s new Oil Sands Advisory Group.

LePine was also named Co Chair – Communities for the group.

The Advisory Group was formed as part of Alberta’s Climate Leadership Plan to advise government on the oil sands aspects of the plan and ensure that its initiatives are effective and widely supported.

The group is composed of members from the energy industry and environmental, Indigenous, and on-Indigenous communities.
