AHS advises water users to run taps for 5 min each on cold and hot to flush any remaining bacteria// Chris Vandenbreekel - Harvard Broadcasting

Another swath of residential and business areas have had their boil water advisory lifted.

Alberta Health Services announced shortly before noon Thursday that the areas of Gregoire, Saline Creek, Saline Plateau, Saprae Creek Estates, Mackenzie Park, Airport Lands, and Prairie Creek Residential now have water that is safe for consumption.

Residents are advised to run their taps for five minutes each on hot and cold to flush any lingering bacteria. Appliances should also have water lines flushed. Instructions on how to do so can be foundĀ here.

These areas join the lower townsite, Grayling Terrace, Thickwood, Wood Buffalo, Dickinsfield, Timberlea, Stone Creek, Eagle Ridge, and Parsons Creek as regions with safe drinking water.

AHS says that all other areas of the RMWB that draw water from a municipal supply are still under a boil water advisory. Water is safe for general use, but should be brought to a full boil for one minute before drinking, cooking, or washing food.
