A local organization is set to start coordinating recovery volunteer management for the RMWB.
The city announced today that FuseSocial will be looking after the job of matching volunteers to different projects.
Champion of Change Katie Loutitt says individuals looking to volunteer for recovery efforts, and organizations or individuals looking for volunteers, are encouraged to register via FuseSocial’s volunteer matching service.
“Where they can create a volunteer profile and at that time they put all their great skills, all their assets that they can bring to our community as well as they can set up alert systems that will alert them to posts,” says Loutitt.
Loutitt says the volunteer matching program is much like a dating website and works for individuals looking for assistance as well.
“We also have available, too, the option for individuals who are looking for assistance to post their need for help as well. And we have a special section called Helping Hands Needed for individuals who are looking for that assistance,” says Loutitt.
