The south-eastern hamlet of Anzac is being evacuated on a mandatory basis Wednesday evening, with Fort First Nation and Gregoire Lake Estates also included in the order.
The wildfire that displaced firefighting officials from Fire Hall No. 5 earlier today is now nearing the small town, which has housed many displaced residents at the Anzac Recreational Centre.
Buses are transporting those without vehicles, while the Mobile Operations Centre is in the process of being relocated. Bus evacuation is set for 11 p.m.
