Environment Canada issues special weather statement for RMWB, Lac La Biche County
There’s been a special weather statement in effect for the area from Environment Canada; the areas affected include La La Biche County near Crow Lake Provincial park and in the RMWB from Fort McKay south to Conklin.
Well above normal temperatures are expected to continue with some record high temperatures broken this week.
 Warm temperatures will remain in place into midweek when a cold front will move through central Alberta Wednesday and the southeast on Thursday lowering temperatures to slightly above normal.These conditions pose a health risk when you are not used to the heat.Everyone is at risk from heat, especially older adults; infants and young children; and people with chronic illnesses.You are advised to (1) drink plenty of cool liquids before feeling thirsty; and (2) keep cool by dressing for the weather and spending a few hours each day in a cool place.
