Ups and downs in housing starts feature greatly in the latest figures from the CMHC.
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation released statistics today showing housing starts in the province are up compared to last month.
The figure from February is 8,069 and that jumped to 11,126 units started in March.
However, compared to last year at this time, the figures show the province is down 49 per cent.
In Wood Buffalo only 12 housing starts have been recorded so far this year, down from 140 last year at this time.
