Habitat for Humanity Wood Buffalo will be hosting a couple of events this weekend to celebrate the official launch of construction on its latest building project.

This will be the fifth house built by Habitat for Humanity in Wood Buffalo since the organization was established in the region in 1999.

Building is scheduled to get underway in May, with volunteers ready to step up and take on the project

A Ground Breaking Ceremony will held on Saturday morning from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at 7415 Railway Avenue, followed immediately after by a volunteer appreciation pancake brunch at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 165, located at 9317 Huggard Street.

All are welcome to attend the festivities, which will wrap up at 1:30 p.m. and tickets to the pancake brunch can be obtained for free by clicking here.
