Alberta government warns public after MEP personal info breach

A former employee is under investigation by the province after a personal information breach came to light this week.

Minister of Justice and Solicitor General Kathleen Ganley said Monday that around 60 personal information files were compromised at the Maintenance Enforcement Program, which manages spousal and child support in the province.

Investigators are currently sifting through the rest of the MEP’s files to ensure the breach isn’t larger.

Anyone with concerns that their information may have been affected can go to the MEP website here.
