Salary freeze coming into effect for Alberta ABCs

Fort McMurray, AB, Canada / MIX 103.7
“Once-in-a-generation” economic challenges have led the Alberta government to enact a far-reaching wage freeze for agencies, boards, and commissions.
So says Finance Minister Joe Ceci, who announced the two-year salary freeze Thursday.
Managers and non-union employees will be affected at any organization classified under the Public Agencies Governance Act.
Those organizations include Alberta Health Services, the AGLC, and AER.
The freeze comes into effect on April 1.
