It’s your day women, time to party!
Local author Carla White is joining the Wood Buffalo Regional Library and WB Arts Council to put on a celebration for International Women’s Day Tuesday night.
“It’s really just a good excuse for us to have a party,” White said. “We don’t spend enough time partying and celebrating women.”
The event will feature a keynote address by White titled “Showing Up for Happiness 101.” The author and stand-up comedian has been working to show women that they need to focus on themselves and realize what will bring happiness into their own lives, and that will be a key message in her speech.
There will be wine and snacks provided for the night, which starts at 6 p.m. and runs until 8:30. Attendees also receive a copy of Success University for Women, a book that White wrote a chapter for.
Tickets are $25 each, and can be purchased here.
