Timberlea drug bust nets wads of cash and cocaine

Two men are facing charges after a Friday drug bust by Wood Buffalo RCMP.

Police searched a residence and vehicle in Timberlea, seizing 440 grams of cocaine and a “significant amount” of cash believed to be proceeds from the drug trade.

27-year-old Nour El-Charif of Kelowna and 28-year-old Mahmoud Taliani of Edmonton are both facing one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of drug trafficking, and one count of possession of property obtained through crime over $5,000.

Both men have been released on conditions, and are expected back in court in Fort McMurray on March 22nd.
