Province: Speeding has been ridiculous on highway 63

We all know speeding is an issue on highway 63, but numbers coming from the province are a little on the ridiculous side.

Alberta Transportation says between January 1st and this past Sunday, 11-thousand tickets were issued on highway 63, and close to 75-hundred of those were for speeding.

That's an average of 36 speeding tickets a day handed out by RCMP and Alberta Sheriffs.

One good thing to come from the latest numbers, drunk driving is down on highway 63, with about 5 tickets issued a month.
