| Royalties Review results to be announced today |

The province is expected to cutback what it takes from the oil and gas industry. The government will release the results of it's competitiveness review this afternoon, where it's likely royalty terms will be lowered closer to rates offered in BC and Saskatchewan, in order to stay competitive. The new royalty scheme will likely aim at stimulating natural gas drilling, while keeping royalties for oil sands where they are. |
