In light of March being occupant restraint month, Wood Buffalo RCMP conducted a checkstop on highway 881 last night.

One hundred and 50 vehicles were stopped, and open liquor tickets were given out to three of them.

Two 24-hour suspensions were also handed out, and two drivers were suspended.

Police say they want to remind the public that open liquor inside a vehicle, accessible to ANY occupant, will result in a  $115 fine.

They also say operating a vehicle when suspended will result in a court appearance, and your vehicle will also be seized for 30-days.
