If you've always wanted to perform before thousands, Summer Solstice's Star Search wants to help make it happen.

It's a brand new component of Keyano's premiere free summer event, the Picnic-in-the-Park. Summer Solstice will be held at Doug MacRae Park on June 19th, starting off with the Star Search at 4pm. Any amatuer act is welcome, singing, dancing, improv, poetry, the list goes on.

First prize is $750 cash and automatic placement into the finals of the Petro Canada Homegrown Talent Search at InterPlay in August. Second place is $500 and third is $250. The contest is open to all ages, but participants under 18 need parental consent.
