Next season will mark Thibodeau’s eighth behind the Barons bench. In 428 regular season games, he has compiled an impressive 245-136-47 record. Thibodeau has 69 playoff wins in 117 games and lead Fort McMurray to an AJHL league title in 2006.

In a statement released by the team, President Andrew Boutilier said “The numbers simply tell the story of what a great Coach/General Manager and Mentor Gord has been for so many players.”

Thibodeau says May has been a busy recruiting, and that he and the coaching staff will soon head to the USA.
