Oil Barons split weekend series with Storm…
The Fort McMurray Oil Barons gained two points on the Grand Prairie Storm Friday night, then gave them right back on Saturday. Trailing the Storm by six points for second spot in the AJHL North Division, the home side doubled up the visitors 4-2 Friday night at the Casman Centre. Fort McMurray had goals from trade deadline day acquisition Gui Glasspoole, James Issacs, Chad Golanowski and Branden Gracel. Joey Quattrocchi stopped 19 of 21 shots he faced for his 16th win of the season. The win gave the Oil Barons 69 points on the season.
Saturday was a different story completely with the MOB managing just five first period shots while a goal late in the frame by Grand Prairie’s Travis Dunstall was the eventual game winner, final score 3-0 Storm.
Fort McMurray play it’s second to last home game of the season on Wednesday when they host Bonnyville at 7:30.
