A high-speed chase has landed two men in custody.
Wood Buffalo RCMP received a call on Friday evening around 7 p.m., from a resident in Timberlea, about a white four-door sedan driving erratically through the residential area.
One suspect was arrested after police initiated a traffic stop – at which point, the second suspect moved from the passenger to the driver side and fled the scene.
Mounties say after a pursuit through the Thickwood area, they deployed a spike belt – which ended the chase off Highway 63, after the suspect crashed into a barrier near Confederation Way.
No one was injured as a result of the incident and both men face several charges.
The suspect names have not been released and more information will be provided when it is available.
