You may see some smoke popping up across the RMWB.
Regional Emergency Services is starting its annual efforts to reduce the risk of wildfires entering the community.
They will be burning all ‘dead and dry fuels’ that piled up during the winter.
People who live in an area where these burns are taking place are being reminded to keep their windows and doors closed.
You’re also being asked to avoid the burn areas and to let the crews safely conduct their work.
If these fires do become an emotional trigger for anyone, they’re being encouraged to check out all wellness resources available to them at rmwb.ca/support.
