Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to investigate a threat made against a Fort McMurray Catholic High School earlier this week.
A report of the threat came in around 2:50 p.m. Monday after graffiti was found on a washroom wall at Father Mercredi.
RCMP say they increased police presence in that area and used surveillance footage to narrow down the alleged suspects.
School officials have suspended the individuals involved pending results of the investigation.
Police say they, along with the Fort McMurray Catholic School District, are taking the threats very seriously and have taken steps to ensure the safety of staff and students.
“We understand situations such as this are concerning to parents, students, and the greater community. We want you to be aware that the administration of Fort McMurray Catholic Schools will continue to work in partnership with law enforcement to maintain a safe learning atmosphere in all schools,” the FMCSD said in a statement Monday.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact RCMP at 780-788-4040.
