Another week, another show! This week I watched “Lie To Me”
“Lie to Me” follows Cal Lightman. Cal is an expert in lie detection and uses a combination of peoples facial expressions, verbal ticks, and involuntary body language to determine truth and lies in a variety of situations but most notably in consultation with police to help with ongoing investigations.
Lie to me is a lot like your everyday crime procedural show but with a heavy twist coming from the lie detection methods used by Cal and his associates. You find yourself looking for many of the tell-tale signs of lying discussed by the characters to make your own conclusions as to who really committed a variety of crimes and immoral acts. With the emphasis on small subtle actions you also begin to appreciate the acting capabilities of many of the characters more than you usually would, even if they are just one time throw away witnesses. I rate the show 8/10.
