Fort McMurray Oil Barons goaltender Eric Szudor is thinking about life after the MOB.
The 20-year-old Edmonton native has committed to play for the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves next year.
In 72 career games over three seasons with the Barons, Szudor has averaged a .914 save percentage.
He has also started this season with a 7-0-1 record and one shutout.
“His role on our team goes beyond statistics – he’s one of our leaders and veteran guys and gives us a chance to win every night,” said MOB General Manager and Coach Tom Keca in a release.
Szudor is the second Oil Baron to commit to a post-secondary school next year joining Will Conley who will play for the Holy Cross Crusaders.
